To apply for an Administrative Use Permit for a food truck on private property, the applicant needs to submit all the required documents listed in the Use Permit Checklist and pay an application fee. The Zoning Administrator has 30 days to decide if the application is complete after it’s submitted with the fee.
Once the application is complete, a public hearing will be scheduled within 60 days to review the permit for approval. The Zoning Administrator will either approve, conditionally approve, or deny the application based on the regulations of the Zoning Ordinance and specifically RMC Section 15.04.610.320 - Mobile Food Vendors.
All applications require public notice and a public hearing on Zoom. The Zoning Administrator must make findings outlined in RMC Section 15.04.806.040 to approve or conditionally approve the application. If the Zoning Administrator can’t make those findings based on the application and what’s discussed at the hearing, the application can be denied.
